NTN Corporation (hereinafter referred to as NTN) has decided to enhance the aerospace bearing production capacity at the Agonne plant in France operated by its consolidated subsidiary NTN Europe S.A. (Headquarters: Annecy, France; hereinafter referred to as NTN Europe). This decision is based on the strong recovery of the aviation market and its prospects for sustained future growth.

The European aerospace market is not only showing a steady recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic but is also expected to continue growing in the future. This growth is driven by the replacement of older aircraft models to advance carbon neutrality goals and expanding demand from emerging regions such as Africa.

As the core base for NTN Group's European aerospace operations, NTN Europe's Agen plant manufactures and supplies bearing products for aviation applications such as jet engines and helicopters, as well as for space applications including the Ariane 6 commercial rocket.

This investment will be implemented in phases through fiscal year 2030. By introducing new equipment covering the entire process from turning to final assembly, expanding and renovating existing facilities, and advancing digitalization and robotics, production capacity will be progressively enhanced to meet growing market demand.

The NTN Group has long supplied high-quality, high-precision bearing products for the aerospace sector in Japan and Europe, covering jet engines, helicopters, rockets, and satellites. These products are widely recognized in the market and have contributed to technological advancements in the field.

Moving forward, the NTN Group will continue contributing to the sustainable development of the aerospace industry by providing solutions for emerging global needs, including next-generation engines, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV*1), electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL*2, also known as “flying cars”), and hybrid transportation systems.
